hail mary, full of grace,
the lord is with thee.
blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, jesus.
holy mary, mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death.

🕯️ what it is
the hail mary is a prayer asking mary to pray for us.
it is both a greeting and a request for intercession, woven into the rhythm of the rosary.
🧭 when i might use this
- during the rosary
- during night prayer
- when i need familiar words
- when i feel afraid or unsettled
- when i want a short prayer with a steady rhythm
- when i need help returning to prayer without overthinking it
🧠 note to self
this prayer is not about having perfect focus.
it is a bead-by-bead return.
when my mind wanders, i can simply come back to the next words.
